Visit your local chamber of commerce, they’ll probably be able to point you in the right direction, Start going to networking events, get an invite to Rotary or similar, speak to your local banks, they often run local events – are you in a big city or a small town?

Here is an unconventional way to do this.
Pick a company you like to solicit. Take time to learn about them.
Understand who the key people you must meet, find what their concerns are
and then approach them with a solution that you can help with. Chances are
your long research will pay off. Getting one key client is a great way to start your business. Then it will be much easier for you to expand through good work record and referrals.
