What Do Baby Boomers Care About?

Are you a young baby boomer (born 1956-1964), or older baby boomer (born 1946-1964)? I’m interested to hear what Baby Boomers feel are most important to them NOW and in the next 10-Years?

    I’m an ‘older’ baby boomer, born 1949. Right this instance, they key thing I’m concerned about is how many of my peers are going to survive into older age while still enjoying a good lifestyle. Anyone who retired several years ago is probably okay, but there’s lots of people who are in the danger zone…

      I was born early 1947 and am still working. I expect to work until I am 70, partly because I love what I do and partly cos I lost a bomb in the recession. My savings were decimated in the bank crashes and share downturns and my work dried up for a while forcing me to live off what I had saved. So what’s important to me right now and for the coming six years is building a financial reserve that will give me some feeling of security for the future…

            I’ve just passed 50 and as an accountant I cannot see myself retiring at 65 in today’s climate!
